Our Partnership with Utah Honor Flight
Anthem Prep is committed to fostering a culture of service and gratitude among our students, families, and staff. One way we fulfill this mission is through our proud partnership with Utah Honor Flight, an organization that aligns perfectly with our school’s deep appreciation for veterans and emphasis on community service.
Why This Partnership Matters to Us
Utah Honor Flight enables veterans to visit the war memorials built in their honor, offering them a meaningful and profound experience of remembrance, healing, and respect. At Anthem Prep, we believe that honoring those who have served is integral to teaching our students about duty, sacrifice, and the power of giving back. Through this partnership, we provide a tangible way for our school community to show their appreciation for veterans while learning the value of service to others.
Our School Director, Elsha Yorgason, and School Principal, Steve Yorgason, work closely with Utah Honor Flight throughout the year. Whether it’s preparing lunch sacks, providing wheelchairs, or volunteering alongside students and staff to assist veterans on each flight, this partnership is a labor of love that Anthem Prep holds in high priority.
About Utah Honor Flight
Utah Honor Flight’s mission is simple yet powerful: to enable veterans to visit the war memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice at no cost to the veterans themselves. Over 2,000 veterans have already flown through this program, with priority given to World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans.
For most veterans, visiting their war memorial is a deeply meaningful experience, and Anthem Prep is honored to be part of this effort. Our work with Utah Honor Flight supports these veterans and teaches our students the importance of respect, gratitude, and service to others.
How You Can Help
The Utah Honor Flight program operates entirely on donations, and the generosity of individuals, families, and corporations makes these trips possible. Anthem Prep encourages our families and supporters to get involved, whether by volunteering your time or making a financial contribution. Every little bit helps a veteran visit their memorial.
You can support the Utah Honor Flight program by donating directly or volunteering at one of the upcoming Honor Flights. If you’re interested in participating, please contact our school administration for more details.
